Welcome to City Bible Institute!

Intro:

This user guide will help you to navigate through City Bible Institute's online program.

All you will need is a computer that has an internet hook up, your User Name, and your Password.

Are you ready to experience City Bible Institute on the World Wide Web?!   Let's get started!

Getting Started:

Let's get logged on.  

In your web browser type in www.citybibleinstitute.com.

You are now on the main page of City Bible Institute.   Within this page you are able to log into your student file.

Logging On:

To log into CBI you will need your User Name and Password.

Both of these will be assigned to you by the Registrar.

The User name and password are case sensitive.   For example if your name is John Smith your User Name would be JSmith.  

Your password is a four digit number that is your Student Number at CBI.   A sample Student Number looks like this. CSC3.   Remember that it is case sensitive also.

So What Are My Courses?

After you have logged on you can check which courses you are enrolled in, and how far you are in that course.

On the left hand side of the main page you will see a link that says My Courses.   Click on that link and it will take you to the page that has all of the courses you are enrolled in.  It will say Ready to Begin, In Progress or Completed.  If it is completed, it will have your grade.

What if I missed A Course?

If you missed a course and need to hear the lecture and get the worksheet all you have to do is click on the course title, for example if you missed the course Between the Testaments, on the page My Courses click the yellow Between the Testament link and this will take you to the download for that course.   Save this to your computer.   Once this is saved you now have a zip file on your hard drive.   Use a WinZip or a program built into your computer to open this file.   You will need to extract these files.   www.winzip.com has a free download of this program to unzip files.

Once you have unzipped this file you will have all four course lectures and the outlines that go with them.   Most computers will be able to play these files so you can listen to them right from your computer.

If you're ready for the next course go to the bottom of the page and click on the link "GO" to pay for the next course.   Once you click "go" follow the payment prompts on the pages that follow.

My Profile:

If you would like to see your profile, or change the existing information click the link from the main page that says "My Profile"  

This will bring you to your profile page.   At the bottom of this page you are able to click the link change my profile.   Once in this page you are able to change your profile and even able to upload your picture if you want.

Changing Your Password:

Your student number does not have to be your permanent password.   From the main page click the link "Change Password".   Once there you will be able to enter your current student number then a new password.   Make sure you remember that password.   Write it down, and keep it in a safe place.   And remember that your password is case sensitive.
